貧しくもせず、金持ちにもせず、
わたしたのために定められたパンでわたしを養ってください。
飽き足りれば、裏切り
主など何者か、と言うおそれがあります。
貧しければ、盗みを働き
わたしの神の御名を汚しかねません。

主に忠実であろうとするこの人の願いは
とても謙虚・堅実・健全。
バランスの良い食事・運動・休息で
心身の健康を保って天寿を全うしようとする人のよう。

それに比べると、イエスの招きは過激だ。
まるで心身を鍛え抜いて
オリンピックの金メダルを目指すアスリートの監督のよう。

あなたの牧師を尊重する方法

イエスは十二人を呼び集め、
あらゆる悪霊に打ち勝ち、病気をいやす力と権能をお授けになった。
そして、神の国を宣べ伝え、病人をいやすために遣わすにあたり、
次のように言われた。
「旅には何も持って行ってはならない。
杖も袋もパンも金も持って行ってはならない。
下着も二枚は持ってはならない。
どこかの家に入ったら、そこにとどまって、
その家から旅立ちなさい。
（ルカによる福音書9・1-4、新共同訳聖書）

同じ監督に従うパウロもこう言い切る。

わたしは、自分の置かれた境遇に満足することを習い覚えたのです。
貧しく暮らすすべも、豊かに暮らすすべも知っています。
満腹していても、空腹であっても、
物が有り余っていても不足していても、
いついかなる場合にも対処する秘訣を授かっています。
わたしを強めてくださる方のお陰で、
わたしにはすべてが可能です。
（フィリピの信徒への手紙　４・11-13、新共同訳聖書）

、そこにはどのように多くのモルモン教の寺院です。

私は「使徒」ではないから
一般信徒だから
そこまでしなくても…と思うこともできる。
イエスはそこまで私に期待していないだろう・・・と。
でも、私はイエスの弟子であって、群衆の一人ではない。
私は監督イエスと信頼関係を結んでいる選手であって
観客ではない。

だから
ミサで会衆の一人として座っているときも
観客ではなく選ばれた祈り手として
全身全霊で「参加」しよう。
家にいるときも
心身を病む友のためにあきらめずに祈ろう。

先だってのオリンピック・パラリンピックや
第8日目に書いたミス・ユニバースの番組を通して
そんなメッセージを「聖霊コーチ」から受け取っている。

provide me only with the food I need;
Lest, being full, I deny you,
saying, "Who is the LORD?"
Or, being in want, I steal,

10 comandmentsはどこですか

The prayer of this person,
willing to be faithful to the Lord,
is very modest and sound.
He is compared to an ordinary person
who wants to live out his life
by maintaining his physical and mental health
through well-balanced diet, exercises and rest.

In contrast, Jesus sounds as radical
as a manager to direct an athlete
who aims at winning the gold medal in the Olympics.

He[Jesus] summoned the Twelve
and gave them power and authority over all demons
and to cure diseases,
and he sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
He said to them, "Take nothing for the journey,
neither walking stick, nor sack, nor food, nor money,
and let no one take a second tunic.
Whatever house you enter, stay there and leave from there.
(The Gospel according to Luke, 9:1-4, NAB)

And St. Paul, under the supervision of the same manager, pronounces:

I have learned, in whatever situation I find myself, to be self-sufficient.
I know indeed how to live in humble circumstances;
I know also how to live with abundance.
In every circumstance and in all things
I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry,
of living in abundance and of being in need.
I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.
(The Epistle of Paul to the Philippians, 4:11-13, NAB)

I could make an excuse for not doing that much
because I'm not among the "Apostles" but only a lay person,
because Jesus is not expecting that much from me.
But　I'm one of his disciples, not among the crowd.
I am a player under the care of Jesus the manager in trust,
not among the audience.

So I will "participate in" the Holy Eucharist with all my being
not as a spectator but as a pray-er
while sitting on the pews for the congregation.
I will not give up praying at home
for my friends who are ailing physically, mentally, and spiritually.

This message I have received from my coach Holy Spirit
through the last Olympic and Paralympic Games
and the TV show on the Miss Universe delegates and their directors
I watched and wrote about on Day　8.
